Free Medicines
This section is responsible for purchase, storage and dispensing of the medicines that are purchased as well as those received as donations. A drug collection campaign is launched every year. This section is operated mostly by medical students and an experienced dispenser who has been appointed by the society. On average, we provide medicines to more than 500 people every month. This section operates in following subsets:
Anti-Diabetic Section:
providing oral hypoglycemics including glucophage, glibenclamide, metformin to about 100 patients per week with a budget of 12,000/month. Asthma Section: providing Salbutamol, Beclomethasone, Ipraprotium Bromide to more than 150 patients per week with a budget of 24,000/month.

Medical Camps
Organizing Free medical camps in the remote areas in the outskirts of Lahore. In the medical camp, free check-up facilities are provided by the capable doctors of the Mayo Hospital. Medicines are provided free of charge.
Patient Care
The patient care section provides special care to some special patients referred to us either directly by OPD or through Zakat Office or AMS OPD. These special helps include supplying
Provision of some expensive therapies e.g interferons for hepatitis, to some selected patients. Each therapy costs 70,000/ patients.
Provision of better health facilities to patients e.g Installation of 80 bracket and exhaust fans in the Mayo OPD, Donation of 3 Sonic Aids and 3 nebulizers to all the 3 units of Lady Wellington Hospital.
Providing free PCR to all the patients referred to us by Zakat Office, thanks to Prof. Muneer, Pathology Dept. This PCR subset has budget of about 9000/month.
Provision of free hearing aids to all the poor patients referred to us by Zakat Office with a monthly budget of about 5000/month.
Taking complete care of few selected patients by fulfilling all their needs e.g medicines, moral support, financial support.read more Provision of Attendants to few unattended patients in wards of Mayo Hospital.
Medical Education
This section holds a brilliant record of organizing health awareness lectures, health promotion seminars and learning disability training in various arenas
A few Workshops and seminars that are orgaized at regular basis are:
Cardiac First Response Workshop accredited by PHECC, Ireland in Collaboration with DRIP, Ireland and ILEM, PAKISTAN.
Asthma Workshop in collaboration with Medicine and Chest Medicine Departments.
Hepatitis Awareness Campaigns: Along with yearly CME programmes, this year a forceful Hepatitis C awareness campaign was launched in collaboration with APPNA.
Stress Management Workshops.
Blood Donation
This section is very busy and its activities comprise:
Liaising between patients, donor students and the blood banks and collaborating with various other blood donor societies of the city.
Maintenance of the records of donor name, their contact details and the blood groups.
Records of the transfusions arranged.
On average, more than 400 pints of blood are donated every year.
